Socca Cafe sits quietly on Hennepin Avenue, tucked into the ground floor of the building that also houses the Four Seasons Hotel, but it maintains an independent, approachable vibe that feels less hotel café and more neighborhood spot. This is a place where locals and visitors alike drop in for everything from a quick caffeine fix to a casual meet-up or a relaxed work session.

The café’s atmosphere strikes a balance between inviting and polished. The interior reflects thoughtful decor choices creating a clean, bright space that doesn’t overwhelm — the kind of environment that makes it easy to settle in with a laptop or catch up over coffee with a friend. Despite being downtown, the space manages to mute the city’s hustle just enough to keep things calm and comfortable, even during busier times.

Socca’s menu leans into classic café offerings but with some elevated touches. Their coffee selection ranges from standard house blends and cold brew to chai and matcha lattes, catering to a variety of tastes. The pastries steal some spotlight here — croissants, including almond, ham & cheese, and unique versions like baklava croissants and pain au chocolat, stand out as satisfying treats whether for breakfast on the go or a mid-afternoon indulgence. There’s also a small but interesting choice of Sicilian-style pizzas and paninis for when you want something more substantial without veering into heavy dining territory.

Visitors will find the staff approachable and clearly attentive. Questions about ingredients or special requests are met with genuine helpfulness, as one can expect from a place conscious of its clientele’s preferences and needs. Quick service complements this, especially handy for those grabbing a bite between meetings or before heading to nearby appointments.

Price-wise, Socca situates itself on the higher side of downtown coffee spots, which might give pause for those used to more budget-friendly options. That said, the quality and presentation of the food and drinks seem to justify the cost for many, particularly for those valuing ambiance and service.

Best use cases for Socca Cafe:

  • Morning or afternoon coffee breaks with a pastry in a tidy, well-kept setting
  • Casual gatherings with friends or light workspace for remote sessions thanks to its relaxed but focused energy
  • Quick but thoughtfully prepared bites, including Sicilian-style pizzas and paninis, when downtown dining options need to be streamlined yet satisfying

Locals and visitors alike tend to come here outside of peak rush hours to enjoy the steady rhythm of the café without the crowd. If you’re in the area near the Four Seasons or exploring downtown Minneapolis, Socca offers a dependable spot for quality coffee and well-made pastries away from the busy thoroughfares.

Super cute place for a coffee date! In the same building as the four seasons hotel, so make sure to check that out too! Nice staff and security team, too. Thank you!

I really enjoyed this coffee shop! The staff is super friendly, and the place is spotless. I tried the almond milk vanilla latte and the blackberry ricotta streusel pain suisse, and both were absolutely delicious. I also had a question about the ingredients, and one of the baristas went above and beyond to contact the chef and ensure I got the information I needed. Great service all around!

Located on the ground floor in the same building as the Four Seasons but not in the hotel. Service was fast and friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing even with the traffic of people. Looks like a good place for a quick bite.

Socca was a great experience! They had an amazing atmosphere and aesthetic with very pretty decor. You can tell they put attention to detail in their work. The food was really and not too pricy. Not to mention, the staff here were very nice. I would recommend if you're ever in the area.

A beautiful space perfect for meeting up with friends, working, etc. The food that my husband and I ordered was also really good. The biggest disappointment was the matcha latte I ordered. It was okay, but nothing to rave about. The other downside to this cafe is the price. I feel like it's a bit over priced especially compared to other downtown coffee shops I've been to. But again, this place is definitely a vibe.

This cafe was amazing, the food was great, the service was awesome because he was really friendly since im not sure what to order. Bennett, I think I forgot his name, but it started with Ben something. But anyway, he asked if I had questions or how can he helped. . I like the café area, it seems enjoyable, good for students, relax. I love it. The problem was just the parking, hahah. It took me a while to find parking but it's alright since it's in downtown. Make the right decision to visit this cafe.
